Lithium Battery Technician

Battery and Solar PV Systems

We’re looking for a Lithium Battery Technician to join our rapidly growing team here at Fogstar. Based at our HQ in Redditch, Worcestershire - you'll work closely with other internal departments to help develop, analyse and test new LiFePO4 products, supporting the development of our growing portfolio.

Using your knowledge of Lithium batteries, BMS, solar inverters and systems design, you’ll play an instrumental part in providing expert knowledge and information to clients, customers and colleagues alike.

You must;

  • Technical knowledge of solar and battery storage (2+ years experience)
  • Knowledge of the design of wiring schematics for DC and/or AC electrical systems
  • Have a good knowledge of LiFePO4 battery systems (design and build), BMS and/or Solar PV systems
  • A knowledge of CAD Software would be useful
  • Excellent English and Maths skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Be a team player

Your tasks will include;

  • Developing new, advanced Fogstar Energy products including rack systems, Solar PV Systems and all-in-one batteries.
  • Testing and analysis of new products, such as BMS, new cell variants and battery accessories.
  • Design basic wiring schematics.
  • Construction of 12v LiFePO4 battery packs for the test and evaluation of new products.
  • Analysis and interpretation of technical documents.
  • Set-up and conduction of test environments for Fogstar products.
  • Working with other internal departments on New Product Development.
  • Provide customer project support via the telephone and the Customer Service desk. Using Zendesk customer service platform to answer and respond to technical customer enquiries.
